The culture of ‘terrorism’ was fueled by ex-CIA operatives, particularly during the 1970s, and became a political slogan, with the term being coined by George W. Bush in 2001. Afghanistan is one example: local people were trained by the CIA during the Cold War and then abandoned once the Cold War ended. Some were subsequently recruited through private networks to carry out economic wars on behalf of private interests, including individuals such as the Bush family, who at the time needed a tragedy to secure re-election and, in the process, amass a family fortune through multi-billion dollar weapons contracts. There are state sponsored ‘terrorists’ by all the hegemonies, but not between allies. This is how economic wars are now fought to destabilise and cripple nations, ever since mutually assured destruction (MAD) made full scale war between nuclear powers synonymous with the extinction of the human species. Some people canโt handle the truth that their own president is capable of committing crimes against their own people.
